When I write a poem for you it’s always very long,
Perhaps that’s because my love is so very strong,
Words to describe loving you seem small when said,
So many words of loving you are dancing in my head,
You ask that my next rhyme be shorter in its form,
That is so difficult to go against my style and norm,
Today I’ll try very hard to shorten my love you rhyme,
Take every word of love multiplied a quadrillion time,
Then a lifetime of heartbeats times eternity or more,
To measure the immeasurable love in my love reservoir,
Thanks a trillion or more for bringing our kiddos to earth,
For Mother’s Day wouldn’t exist without a child’s birth.
The end. I love you Patti. By Pat for Patti on Mother’s Day
