So many challenges have befallen my long life,

But always beyond a hurdle is my wonderful wife,

Her beauty has taken my breath every single day,

Her eyes ignite a desire within my aged self to play,

I’ve searched for words significantly strong to say,

So desperately I want her to feel how I feel each day,

Each and every day I have been moved by her smile,

Beyond a smile returned that makes it all worthwhile,

Spoken words pale when spoken of loving her so,

Expressions of love aren’t enough for her to know,

That she is the light that awakened life within me,

Delight within her soul delights me also I have found,
